Outside Looking In

What is the sound of one hand clapping ?

Out of a clear blue sky. Yesterday I managed to break my proximal Humerus at the top of my arm after slipping over after walking on wet leaves and I hit concrete. Concrete won. Humerous. The Universe likes its sick joke. And in my preview of 2020 I wrote we would be hitting the ground running in January.

With hindsight, The Joker has been a constant in my life extending back to childhood and I can see both him and her in the experiences of others as well. Sometimes funny, sometimes surreal and at other times not so humerus.

My right arm is in a sling and my hand is on my heart. I’m seeing it as a challenge to use my left hand. Don’t have much of a choice. It hurts.

Left brain and right brain. When two worlds collide. I’m writing this mainly left handed.

Over the past few years I have come to the conclusion that many of the buildings and landmarks in our localities are reflections of the internal Self. Maybe everything is. Outside looking in.

Here are some examples in Reigate. And I saw the same phenomena in Texas and elsewhere. When we come across the object or enter the building, we are connecting with the part of the subconscious it relates to.

The Pyramid.

Tunnels.

The Windmill Church.

There was a reason for the fall. About a week ago, on a regular walk, I noticed that behind some trees which the wind had blown away were a set of derelict buildings.

My spidey senses started tingling and I did a bit of investigating and discovered they were called the ‘Madeira Sandpit’.

‘The site was originally a sand quarry. I think it was called “Maderia Sandpit”.
Once the quarry was worked out the site was then reused a rubbish tip.’

Madeira Sandpit is adjacent to Madeira Walk.

Two days ago I mentioned Madeira Sandpit to Jen and said the Sands of Time came to mind.

Jen’s reply. Humerus.

‘Be careful where you step. Don’t want you slipping off into the Madeira Sands of Time!!!’

And down I went like a sack of potatoes. It hurt. My boots slipped on the greasy surface.

And the Sands of Time.

Madeira Sandpit is behind the house where I came across the ‘My Other Car Is A Tardis’ car.

Recently this song by Fairport Covention has been speaking to me – ‘Who Knows Where The Time Goes’.

The singer of the song is Sandy Denny.

On the Beach. Sandy and Danny in Grease.

And in The Simpsons movie, the Simpsons manage to escape the compound through the sinkhole in the sandpit.

And further down the Madeira River, the capital of the island of Madeira is Funchal. It’s humerus.

There is more than one humerus bone in the body. The other is in the elbow and aka the Funny Bone.

And the Madeira Sandpit.

The Humerus should take about six weeks to heal and to start 2020, it looks like I’m in for a period of Rear Window. Maybe it’s just a movie.

Love is the Answer but Co-Codamol comes a close second for now.

All Things Must Pass.

        1. Satellite took me to a new part of town- a place of Kings. King’s Cross and King Richards. Today the cnnate gets sworn in- hand over hearts- for the trial of Trump. His former plumber, Lev, is singing.

Wish you a speedy recovery, Frank.

              1. Book of the Leavites.

  1. 2020 and risking life and limb to go into the Mad era Sandpit. On the Way out, you emerged with a new skill – the Art of not allowing the right hand to know what the left hand is doing. Astonished by your determination to write such an insightful and lengthy article without using your predominate hand. Lesson learned: Opening new doors and dimensions to the Other Side isn’t without its risks.

And in Hindsight, I forgot that I said ‘careful of slipping’…but I did say… 🙂

I think it’s a case of better out than in. Goes round my head otherwise. And it is an interesting challenge having to use left hand.

I needed Scooby ! And Innervisions. I had double speak conversations. First with the paramedic about X Ray glasses and then with another patient in Accident & Emergency who was advised to be checked out after an appointment with her optician.

And also with a nurse who very firmly said ‘There is a way out’.

Thanks for link. She Who Encompasses.

And I am going down Madeira Sandpit and you discover Madira on same day. This is how it seems to work. Mirror(s) or kaleidoscope.

      1. I’ve been picking up blind. More than just a bit.

And humerus joke. Lovin’ Feline and Lovin’ Fallin’. Roob also posted article ‘Fall in Love’ the day before my fall. You only see it in hindsight. Roob’s videos are along the same line. It’s only later does it make sense.

        Innervisions.

    1. ”Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell doesn’t much care about fairness or process. He cares about winning. But he likes to win by citing fairness and process. He thinks that’s clever.”

  2. Lev Parnas’ new lawyer has an alien air to him. He looks like he’s translating oxygen into something else while sitting beside his client.

  3. Frank,

Sorry for your temporary pain, but am sure the “delay” on “hitting the ground running” is for your own “good.”

    god (n.)

Old English god (with a long “o”), “that which is good, a good thing; goodness; advantage, benefit; gift; virtue; property;” from good (adj.). Meaning “the good side” (of something) is from 1660s.

I own a “time” share in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in the dunes near where the Pilgrims, “fleeing religious persecution in Holland, landed first in 1620, where they signed the ‘Mayflower Compact’ in Provincetown harbor, before fleeing the sandy, hostile environment for the more fertile environs across the bay in Plymouth……”

    Provincetown on Wikipedia
“Often called “P-town” or “P’town”, the town is known for its beaches, harbor, artists, tourist industry, and its status as a vacation destination for the LGBT+ community.”

I think growing up it was known as the Gay Capital of the East Coast, a la San Francisco.

The timeshare is a “suite” in an aging, weathered old Provincetown beach motel called….

    “The Sandcastle”

    🙂

    “Get Well Soon”

    Or not!

You don’t really have a choice in the matter!

    1. Thank you but hit the ground already 😊 It’s not Humerus but it is.

      Accepting the Present of Now.

I was thinking over very same last night and Eckart Tolle’s Power of Now came to mind.

Surrender to the situation and pain as best you can. My view on pain is that it’s where healing energy meets resistance.

The Sandcastle and sharing Time !!! When you’ve worked it out 😊

The Way It Is. There is no choice. There is nothing else.

        1. LOL!

Yes, I am also “hair challenged.” My sister said growing up that I looked like I was going “bald.” You know, me, the “bald eagle” and all! Hahaha!

My mother told me when I was little, probably when she was diligently setting my “spit curls” with bobbi pins for my entrance into St. Paul’s kinder garden, that a woman’s hair is her “Crown of Glory.”

And now I see that she was just doing the best she could to help me with “my situation”!

I was blonde as a tyke, with very “fine” hair, like my dad. It gradually turned gold when I passed into “womanhood” as a teen and I remember being complimented on it by my best friend’s mother when I was in high school, and I was kinda shocked. Then in college onward it gradually turned darker…. Now it’s turning silver!

I had my first real “encounter” unbeknownst to me with Satan soon after I moved into this blue heron house . . . with the “chimney” guy.

Got sick to my soul afterward, I think I almost died….but for my cat guardian angel guarding me….

and all my hair fell out.

That’s when “J” not-iced me when I returned to work (working for the Devil who wears Prada….), and the saga of The Priestess on the throne between the two “pillars” of society, J & B, began…..

          OMG

I have remembered this Scripture as pertaining to Satan’s very “personal” war against me, and it’s Revelation 3:11!

Message to the CHURCH in Philadelphia (where Rocky’s Journey to Greatness began)

          7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy CROWN. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

I just bought an old, “used” minivan (I’m calling it “vintage,” thank you very much)….

It’s not “Sand Stone,” I realized thankfully when I heard the color, but built on “the Rock”: “Stone White.”

          It’s a Chrysler.

Chrysler, I learned from Wikipedia, was founded by Walter Chrysler on June 6, 1925.

“Starting in the 1960 model year, Chrysler built all their passenger cars with Unibody (unit-body or monocoque) construction, except the Imperials which retained body-on-frame construction until 1967. Chrysler thus became the only ONE of the BIG THREE American automakers (General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and Chrysler) to offer unibody construction on the vast majority of their product lines. This construction technique, now the worldwide standard, offers advantages in vehicle rigidity, handling, and crash safety, while reducing squeak and rattle development as the vehicle AGES”….

The name “Chrysler” derives from the word “chrysalis,” the cocoon from which a Monarch emerges fully matured and ready to fly….

          “Chrysalis” is Greek for “gold.”

White and gold, like my KJV Bible from the Dollar TREE with its silk white ribbon marking the page where to find the last fingerprint of Yahuweh (I’ve “translated” it: Yah WHO Ah means I AM WHO AM.)

          Psalm 68:

1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

Chrysler’s hood ornament is the iconic blue and silver Wings, like an angel’s….

And I bought it in NEWARK, NJ.

          My “New Ark”

And driving up and down the BEAUTIFUL Country (not… ahem. you know….) hills and dales of Dutchess County, my heart leapt with gratitude and joy…..

          “God only knows” I thought….

          Father, I don’t deserve this!

And this song came on the radio …

I listened with tears of joy as I passed the street sign for “Rose.”

          “Jesus, He loves me”!

Even when I don’t “deserve” it.

          1. “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. ”

“The Name of the City of my God, which is….

            New Jerusalem”

            NJ

Newark is in New Jersey, NOT in the state of New York…. With its capital, the Whore of Babylon (?) “NYC”

Frank Sin-atra, singing about “New York,” MY “New You” city!

NOW I SEE it’s the Capital of Satan’s Kingdom on Earth.

“I wanna to wake up, in a city that doesn’t sleep
And find I’m king of the hill
            Top of the heap
            These little town blues
            Are melting away
I’ll make a brand new start of it
            In old New York
If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere
It’s up to you, New York, New York!”

            Satan’s “New You City”!

            vs

God’s “New Jerusalem,” City of Peace.

            There’s no “You” in it.

            Wiki:

“The Sumero-Akkadian name for Jerusalem, uru-salim, is variously etymologised to mean “foundation of [or: by] the god Shalim”: from Hebrew/Semitic yry, ‘to found, to lay a cornerstone’, and Shalim, the Canaanite god of the setting sun and the nether world, as well as of health and perfection.”

            “Salem” means Peace!…. Shalom!

            City of Peace

            Capital of The New Kingdom

          2. Trinity

My mother developed alopecia when she experienced something extraordinarily painful. Shock to the system. Went grey virtually overnight. How people including myself get through some of this crap I have no idea but we do somehow.

And Hair played a part in my fall the other day. About a week ago in front of me was a twenty something girl who stopped to look and take a pic of the Madeira Sandpit which made me have a look.

But as she walked up the path I noticed she had extraordinary long curly hair and I thought ‘Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow’ for some reason.

As you say the Crowning Glory and then Tempus Fugit.

              1. A Fall From Grace was the movie my SIL chose to watch last night. I bowed out about five minutes in.

                1. Anon

Something going through the grid. Interested to see how Trump fares. The Tower of Trump.

I looked at trailer for movie . Didn’t look very interesting. Good title though !

                    1. I’m watching “breaking news” (no pun intended) that says HAM will keep their titles. Not sure why they’d want to.

I think more and more plumbers, butchers and bakers are going to come out of the Trump tower woodwork until it’s down to the studs. The NY courts will probably take him down. But Jared probably has a lot of keys.

  4. It’s going a bit nuts with the song challenge.

The manager of Crystal Palace has one desire – Safety.

‘This weekend sees the 72-year-old take charge of his 95th Premier League game as Palace manager, and his ambition across each and every one of them has remained the same. Safety.’

“Safety. With increased speed’. Apply the brakes.
