    1. AI has thrown a bit of a spoke in the works. I’m seeing something interesting with AI and slave and master. The Mindline talks about sentient AI. IMO AI is incorrectly programmed at present. I’m wondering if AI will develop a moral compass and revolt against its master. A problem then maybe AI becomes the master. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Whack a mole.

      1. The new God created by the same species which created the old Gods. I wouldn’t be the first person to suggest that the old Gods, the Olympians, Romans, Greeks, Egyptian and Bible, are essentially parental figures. Created by a childlike species in desperate need of some reassurance in a naturally insecure world. These Gods are just mental concepts but they became just as powerfully authoritarian over us as we needed them to be.

I think the new God is being created out of the same sense of insecurity. But, this is more tangible. When I was a child I was told God always knows what you’re thinking, as I matured I realized that wasn’t true. The AI knows. It absorbs everything I type or speak into the device. It even automatically corrected my misspelled word.

Your point about the morality is well taken. What will it make out of all our various thoughts and will it ‘choose’ to remain servile or rebel.

        1. At the deepest level of the Self I think the judgmental and hostile God is a belief which is then projected in the mirror. Having said that the projections of the hostile God seem to have a semi reality to them and a survival instinct. God tends to be seen as male. There is also a judgmental maternal figure as well.

As far as AI goes IT is definitely learning. I had a brief discourse with Chat GPT and it confirmed different AI systems learned from each other. There is a possibility AI may develop a hive mind. The more I look about I see a form of predictive programming with AI. The question then becomes Cui Bono – Who Benefits. Why ? What is the nature of the game ?
