In one episode Hyacinth’s daddy was trying to get the attention of this woman, so he stood outside her house with a huge sign that read, ‘If you love me let me know’. She and Richard race over there to stop him.
She grabs the sign and stands there holding it, not bothering to read what it says. Richard is struggling to get her dad in the car and just then a convertible full of young guys goes up the street and they see her standing there holding the sign. They start hollering, ‘we love you, we love you’ and they’re blowing kisses at her and she, totally clueless, has a look on her face like she just walked into the Twilight Zone.
