I agree with you to an extent but I also know Trump would be an after thought without the ‘activism’ of the American Evangelical Church. So it goes and goes and goes. Although someone else would have arisen because The Wizard has arrived in Oz and “I may not be the wizard you were expecting but I just might be the wizard you need”.
However, I do think there is validity in the Bishop’s words. Have mercy because everyone one of us will at some point find we are in desperate need of mercy.
