  1. There is also another angle with the Merry Go Round. Normally I reserve Merry Go Rounds for when I have had five pints of beer and walking back from the pub at midnight and it’s too irresistible to my inner child.

    Spirit is making a point about over protection of children. There is no rubber matting around this merry go round and is surrounded by concrete – I think deliberately to make a point. Children do need to skin their knees from time to time. Goes with the territory. IMO.

    It is also a work of art in its own right.

  2. I’ve been doing a deep dive into parallel and alternate timelines most of which are personal to me. Some of have been collective and involve politics and sport. In sport one of the more surprising real timelines is England won the football World Cup in 2010 when the manager was Fabio Capello. England beat Spain in the final 3-2 and Steven Gerrard scored the winner.
