In the bigger picture there is Animal Farm and George Orwell. Also something incredibly weird with Animal Farm when I was young – about 11 – I went on holiday to the top of Scotland in Sutherland. How true this is IDK but wouldn’t surprise me. One of my memories on the holiday is seeing a field with what I described as Woolly Pigs in it. I got a lot of flak from one of my brothers when I returned saying I had seen woolly pigs and my brother called a band he started with a friend The Woolly Pigs. Thinking back on it now, at the age of 11, I would have known what I was seeing.
We’ve talked about The Prisoner and I half joked ‘One day I wouldn’t be surprised if Rover came down the road towards to me.’ Rover did today. An old Triumph Rover car c. 1970s inched towards me earlier when it was held up by traffic lights. Extraordinarily weird seeing the logo ‘Rover’ from a distance as it got slowly closer.
