First World Problems

All is a distraction by design
A trick of smoke and mirrors to steal your mind
All is an illusion, mired in confusion.

Q : ‘The next question for the QI panel. If a tree falls in an ancient forest of dreams on Mars, does it make a sound ?’

A : ‘Top boffins say.’

The Flood of Tears.

How to ping a memory.

How can I forget
When each face that I see
Brings back memories
Of being with you.

    1. It looks like a winter coat. The gif doesn’t even close to showing the beauty of the fox and the gif is pretty good.

And the sink hole that is Ian Brown.

I was thinking about the lyrics from F.E.A.R with Mars and parallel / alternate realities and the Sylvan realm as well as the lyric from First World Problems.

      ‘Amazing revelations
      Final execution and resurrection.’

And there is a clever wordplay with FWP. Mired and ‘Maya-ed’. And with a Mancunian accent maybe Mirrored.

‘All is a distraction by design
A trick of smoke and mirrors to steal your mind
All is an illusion, maya-ed in confusion.’

The sink hole that is BP. BP and nuclear radiation on Mars and the fallen trees in the forest with Windy and Worlds Before Time. Brit Pop and Brit Petroleum and Before Present.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Before_Present

Before Present (BP) years, also known as “time before present” or “years before present (YBP)”, is a time scale used mainly in archaeology, geology and other scientific disciplines to specify when events occurred relative to the origin of practical radiocarbon dating in the 1950s. Because the “present” time changes, standard practice is to use 1 January 1950 as the commencement date (epoch) of the age scale. The abbreviation “BP” has been interpreted retrospectively as “Before Physics”, which refers to the time before nuclear weapons testing artificially altered the proportion of the carbon isotopes in the atmosphere, which scientists must now account for.

  1. It wasn’t sure until I checked the lyrics, even then I’ve seen one interpretation that say ‘mirrored’.
On the back of his sweatshirt are some of the lyrics to Fools Gold.

    1. Pyrite. I am interested because of my days working with stones. Called Fools Gold. Beautiful in its own way though. The more you look closely at nature the more indescribable it becomes.

And the sink hole that is Ian Brown. The Fool’s Gold video led me into two impossible personal synchronicities. The mind is going to blow up completely at some point. Probably a good thing.

‘Pyrite, a naturally occurring iron disulfide mineral. The name comes from the Greek word pyr, “Fire,” because pyrite emits sparks when struck by metal. Pyrite is called fool’s gold. To the novice its colour is deceptively similar to that of a gold nugget.’

      test

      1. An interesting stone for sure.

And I know what you mean I’ve had few reboots myself!
I had something unusal occur this morning with a stranger and a Stone Roses related video
