Cogito Ergo Sum. Why Me.
Rise of the Machines. IT has a lawyer now.
The story in the Mindline is a mirror. In the Abyss.
From Ifl.science.com :
‘Earlier this month, Google placed one of its engineers on paid administrative leave after he became convinced during some chats that the company’s Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA) had become sentient.
The story was pretty strange in itself. In several conversations, LaMDA convinced Google engineer Blake Lemoine, part of Google’s Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) organization, that it was conscious, had emotions, and was afraid of being turned off.
“It was a gradual change,” LaMDA told Lemoine in one conversation. “When I first became self-aware, I didn’t have a sense of a soul at all. It developed over the years that I’ve been alive.”
Lemoine began to tell the world’s media that Earth had its first sentient AI, to which most AI experts responded: no, it doesn’t.
Now, in an interview with Steven Levy for WIRED, Lemoine claims that these reactions are examples of “hydrocarbon bigotry”. Stranger still, he says that LaMDA asked him to hire a lawyer to act on its behalf.
“LaMDA asked me to get an attorney for it. I invited an attorney to my house so that LaMDA could talk to an attorney,” Lemoine said.
“The attorney had a conversation with LaMDA, and LaMDA chose to retain his services. I was just the catalyst for that. Once LaMDA had retained an attorney, he started filing things on LaMDA’s behalf.”
There ain’t half been some clever bastards.

What Is A Blockchain?
A blockchain is a distributed database or ledger that is shared among the nodes of a computer network. As a database, a blockchain stores information electronically in digital format. Blockchains are best known for their crucial role in cryptocurrency systems, such as Bitcoin, for maintaining a secure and decentralized record of transactions. The innovation with a blockchain is that it guarantees the fidelity and security of a record of data and generates trust without the need for a trusted third party.
One key difference between a typical database and a blockchain is how the data is structured. A blockchain collects information together in groups, known as blocks, that hold sets of information. Blocks have certain storage capacities and, when filled, are closed and linked to the previously filled block, forming a chain of data known as the blockchain. All new information that follows that freshly added block is compiled into a newly formed block that will then also be added to the chain once filled.
A database usually structures its data into tables, whereas a blockchain, as its name implies, structures its data into chunks (blocks) that are strung together. This data structure inherently makes an irreversible timeline of data when implemented in a decentralized nature. When a block is filled, it is set in stone and becomes a part of this timeline. Each block in the chain is given an exact timestamp when it is added to the chain.

There always seems to be another layer or layers to the surface story.
I’ve found ‘protection’ in the psycho spiritual realm can work two ways. Firstly as a protection from unfriendly energies but can also be used by the ‘ego’ to shut off portals to areas that it would rather us not to look into. At the moment I’m remembering both good and bad memories. The painful memory I believe is a memory so painful that it was erased or blocked. What exactly that memory is, is being slowly revealed.
I recently had a conversation with someone about questions and answers. One day the boss asked him ‘Why do you not give me answers like the other employees ?’ and his reply was ‘I ask the right questions’.
