And Tiptoe Through The Tulips title as a choice was a reference to Tulips From Amsterdam and Max Bygraves. One of the memories which is publishable – most of them are not family friendly to say the least – is Abigail and myself being shown backstage at a Royal Variety performance back in the 1960s. There were celebs of the time such as Max Bygraves, Shirley Bassey, Cilla Black, Ken Dodd and Cliff Richard and we were introduced to them. Also the Royal Family of the time. Phil the Greek the cabbie in chauffeur gear was also there. I remember Princess Margaret was fun. All very bizarre but am told it is true. Not sure of the year but 1966 comes to mind. A mystery tour down mmeory lane doesn’t describe it.
