Over the years I have come across questionable behaviour from people who I thought I knew. One offs don’t bother me that much. Who knows the bigger picture but when you see consistent repeat patterns it does get distressing and you are left wondering Why ? Do you want everything I have even if it is an illusion ?
When you can make someone very happy it is a gift and when you are in a relationship with someone who makes you very happy it becomes a double gift. And a relationship so profound and deep it doesn’t make sense you are a lucky man and lucky woman. And lucky man and lucky man and lucky woman and lucky woman and lucky trans and lucky trans I suppose. I don’t think it matters apart from in our dysfunctional mind. Just thank you.

Shell shock is a natural by product of war. My mom lived in Belgium during WW2. As an adult in the US at the first sound of distant thunder she wound drop everything and rush down into the cellar and sit on the bottom step until the ‘bombing’ stopped. Sitting next to her I could feel the terror she felt.
