I visited The Globe in 2000s at some time. Really enjoyed it. I find Shakespeare definitely easier to follow on the stage. Highly recommended. I remember being amazed by the voices of the Shakespearean actors up close.
But also visited Globe House to get my passport. Astonishing day.

On the other hand though, has there ever really been a “normal” time on this planet? I mean, if you’re traveling along the straight and narrow highway, why would you DELAY your progress by veering off the road and climbing a mountain you SPOT on the way? OR rather feel LURED into wanting to CONQUER?
Years ago, I was so fascinated with the TRAGIC STORY of climbing Mt. Everest in “Into Thin Air,” like those of us who love “Extreme Sports” and in wanting to live lives of ADVENTURE! It’s a very “American” fantasy…..
The tragic story was of an expedition to the top of Mt. Everest….
They all made it!
But then a storm hit, and the expert guides, i.e. heroic, strong, experienced, extreme!, ended up dying on the mountain, and the amateur climbers had to find their own way back down….. some died, others barely made it down alive.
In fact, the legendary mountain climber who led them up ended up tragically dying at the top, and said goodbye to his wife and young child via his satellite link.
And one of the things I remember being surprised by was the idea that it’s not too hard to climb to the top….
The DANGER is working your way back down, exhausted and befuddled by the lack of oxygen, without slipping and falling to your death.
And I thought of Miley Cyrus’s song, so inspiring to me!
